Medical translation

Medical translation can be defined as the translation of documentation related to the healthcare industry. The medical sector generates sensitive documentation that must be translated and reviewed thoroughly in order to avoid any errors. Translating medical texts into other languages is not a word by word process. In fact, it is important to preserve the meaning of the source text, to find equivalents for the complex terminology used by this sector.

Liaison interpreting

We have been providing liaison interpreting services at trade shows and business meetings since 2012, often in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in London. In particular, we participated in Dolce Vita 2012, Welcome Italia 2013, 2014 and 2015, and the Specialty Food Fair 2016, for the gastronomic sector, in Tent and May Design, for the design sector and in Moveit for the creative arts sector. At these events, we worked as a point of contact between Italian companies and English-speaking customers, helping them to overcome the language barrier and establish strong business relations. During Moveit, we were additionally involved in the entire management and organisation of the stand throughout the fair and at the London Wine Fair, we acted as the relation coordinator and manager between exhibitors and the fair’s organisers. With the experience and contacts with local industry operators gained during these fairs, we can also provide practical advice to exhibitors in order to make their stay in London as easy and comfortable as possible.

Public Service Interpreting in the Healthcare sector (DPSI)

In 2020, we obtained The Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), a nationally-recognised qualification that serves as a benchmark for professional standards in the interpreting sector. Since then, we have been helping people communicate in the medical sector in many different settings. We are also a member of the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI). We really enjoy being able to act as a bridge between cultures, helping people in need at the same time.
