If you are married to a British citizen, you may be eligible to apply for British citizenship. Let’s take a look at the requirements:
- You must be of legal age.
- You must be married to or in a civil partnership with a British citizen.
- You must have lived in the UK for at least three years prior to your application.
- You need a good knowledge of English, Welsh, or Gaelic.
- You must pass the Life in the UK Test.
- You must have good character.
Additionally, if you are a citizen of the EEA, you must hold one of the following:
- Permanent Residence Document.
- Indefinite Leave to Enter/Remain in the UK.
If you are from a non-EEA country, you must hold Indefinite Leave to Enter/Remain in the UK.
