If you are married to a British citizen, you may be eligible to apply for British citizenship. Let’s take a look at the requirements:

• You must be of legal age.
• You must be married to or in a civil partnership with a British citizen.
• You must have lived in the UK for at least three years prior to your application.
• You need a good knowledge of English, Welsh, or Gaelic.

• You must have good character.

Additionally, if you are a citizen of the EEA, you must hold one of the following:

• Indefinite Leave to Enter/Remain in the UK.
